SolidWorks released their 2009 PDM software with many significant changes. They also introduced a change in product name, essentially dropping the "PDMWorks" product brand name. So now PDMWorks Workgroup is called SolidWorks Workgroup PDM. PDMWorks Enterprise is now named SolidWorks Enterprise PDM.
So what does this mean for current customers, other than removing PDMWorks from their vocabulary? If users have developed custom programs or batch routines that reference the service names, they will need to be updated. For example, if you have a batch routine that restarts the PDM service, you will need to update the code. Replace the code like the examples below:
PDMWorks Enterprise Archive Server ---> SolidWorks Enterprise PDM Archive Server
PDMWorks Enterprise Database Server ---> SolidWorks Enterprise PDM Database Server
PDMWorks Workgroup Server ---> SolidWorks Workgroup PDM Server
